About
Barb sleeps comfortably 4 passengers so we would recommend her to families with kids on the first place. A large main bed for 2 with a proper mattress will fold in to give you more space inside if you need to cook, change your clothes etc. A second bed can be set up underneath the main bed and will comfortably accommodate another 2 travelers. The lower bed is foldable and removable (in case of 2 travelers only we’ll remove the bed, and it will provide you with lots of extra storage).
Two 80L water tanks (fresh and grey) provide enough water for cooking in fully equipped kitchen – large fridge, 2 burner stove top, pan, pot, plates, bowls, mugs, cutlery, French press etc. A large inside table sits comfortably 4 people and folds down to give you an extra space if needed.
Barb camper van will save your money for better places than the gas stations - the consumption is only 10L/100km (24 mpg)! The solar system allows you to charge your devices (USB and 110V outlets) anywhere you go. A roof window and a ceiling fan provide fresh air circulation during the summer nights and air-condition will keep you cool if driving on hot Okanagan highways. Barb is also fully isolated, and we installed a strong diesel heater so that will keep you warm in case of cold mountain nights.
Barb is 9ft tall and 19ft long - you will need this dimensions for your ferry reservations.
Camping chairs and a portable table to enjoy a campfire included for free (upon request).

We had such a good time with Mr. Cap during our 3 weeks trip on Vancouver Island!
It was really a pleasure to rent from L&P. In the months prior to our vacation, Lucie took care of the practical stuff and was very helpful in answering any of our questions. On the day we picked up the van, Pavel gave us a very detailed explanation of all the functionalities of the van before we started our trip. From the first moment we felt comfortable and safe driving the van on the road.
The van is not only beautiful, but also very well designed from a functional point of view. It contained everything we needed: 2 spacious double beds which were very easy to install, more than enough usb ports and an electricity socket to charge the camera battery, a large inside dining table for the rainy days, camping chairs, a kitched unit with fridge/ freezer/ stove/ sink with large water reservoir, 2 ventilators to get fresh air during the nights, solar panels (we never had to plug in on the campgrounds), … .It was more than spacious enough to comfortably fit our family of 4, and even our luggage for 3 weeks fitted in the cabinets. During our trip we got a lot of compliments from other campers on the van, unfortunately we always had to say it was not ours?...
We had a great time, and also our kids really enjoyed this experience. If we would come back to Canada, we would definitely rent again with L&P. Lucie and Pavel are both very warm people and go that extra mile, they run their business with passion and we could feel that in every aspect of our rental experience with them. My girlfriend and I had the opportunity to rent a camper van from L&P last summer. Lucie and Pavel were very helpful answering any questions we had, and we had a lot since it was our first time renting or even driving a vehicle bigger than a car. We got to take Simona (yes all their vans have names which we thought was very cute) for a week long adventure thru the sea to sky corridor. Camping in Squamish and whistler, the van was so easy to drive and setup once we found our site. It comes with everything you could ever need tucked away into a convenient cubby or drawer making it easy to find. The layout of the van is perfect for moving around and making dinner to when its time to pull the bed out and get some sleep. We are both looking forward to renting again from L&P in the near future! Hopefully we will take it winter camping to really test it out.

Our 11-day trip to the Rockies with Mr. Cap was a stunning experience, we loved everything about it. Mr. Cap was easy to handle, had the perfect size and all we needed. Mr. Cap's lovingly furnished and well thought out interior made it easy for us to really feel at home. We loved the home made furniture that had a pleasant woody smell, found all sorts of necessary utensils for camping or for the kitchen and also technical things like the many USB ports in the right places were well thought out. Although we were more than lucky with the weather, we were more than happy about the heating for the nights. The communication with Lucie before the rental went more than smoothly. She was always so nice, helpful, supportive and answering quick to all our questions. Pavel took time to explain everything about Mr. Cap in detail, was super personable and for us it was exciting that he gave us local insights and tips. We can absolutely recommend L & P Camper Van. I can now imagine no other form of vacations anymore than with a camper van. Coming back to Canada and renting a van at L &P again is definitely a dream. Maybe then with Ms. Cap…
