Drivers.
L&P CAMPER VAN vans may only be driven by an authorized driver, 25 years of age or over. An authorized driver is the Renter and any other additional approved driver(s) by L&P Camper Van provides their driver’s license before the rental starts.
Unauthorized and prohibited travel areas.
All L&P Camper Van vans can be driven ON ROAD ONLY therefore all driving must be done on paved public roads. The Renter will be fully responsible for all damages, towing fees and any other expenses that arise if the camper van is operated on an unpaved road ( including FSR - Forest Service Road) and / or non-public road. The renter is not covered by the insurance when driving on non-public roads including FSR. If L&P Camper Van finds an excessive dirt in the brakes and on the van chassis the renter will be charges a cleaning fee of $150 and will be responsible for all the costs for the repair of the damaged parts. Driving in prohibited travel areas is strictly forbidden at all times.
Mechanical issues.
In the event of any mechanical issues you may have, please, contact L&P Camper Van immediately. We will provide you the best support we can to solve it out and get you back on the road.
Interior Damage.
Renter is fully responsible for any and all damages to the interior of the rented camper van, including the damage of appliances, cabinets and floors. Any damage cost will be deducted from security deposit.
Safety.
L&P Camper Van does a full mechanical and safety inspection of every camper van before and after every rental. All camper vans are equipped with a fire extinguisher and a carbon monoxide detector. If you hear an alarm sound, please evacuate the van, keep the door open and call L&P Camper Van immediately. Maximum allowed speed of all our camper vans is 110km/hour. Faster driving & speeding will result in additional fee $500.
Condition of Rental & Responsibility for Repair.
In the event of any loss or damage to the vehicle, or any personal property that occurs during the rental due to any cause regardless of fault, including collision, rollover, theft, vandalism, seizure, fire, flood, wind, hail or other acts of nature or God, Renter is responsible and is required to pay up to the deductible outlined in the insurance of the van. It is renter's responsibility to report all abovementioned to L&P Camper Van and to the Police immediately. Failure to report and document an incident within 24hours may void insurance protection and the renter will be responsible for the cost of all repairs.
Security deposit.
The refundable security deposit of $2000 is required to be paid together with the second half of the payment no later than 14 days prior the start of the rent. The security deposit or its part will be refunded within 3 days after drop-off via the same method of payment.
Cancelation policy.
If cancelled by the Renter more than 30 days from the date of rental: The Renter will receive a full refund of the deposit that was paid to confirm the reservation (50% of the total price) LESS the bank service fee of 3.53%. If cancelled by the Renter between 30 days and 14 days from the date of rental: L&P Camper Van will charge 50% of the rental amount. If cancelled by the Renter 14 days or less from the date of rental: The full rental amount will apply. L&P Camper Van reserves the right to cancel the reservation at any point and time before the reservation starts. That incudes the cancelation during the orientation as well as during the test drive on the day of pick up. The full refund will apply.
Taxes and fees.
Rates are quoted in Canadian dollars. Provincial sales tax (PST) of 7%, Goods and service tax (GST) of 5%, and BC rental vehicle tax $1.50/day will apply to the rental as well as any additional charges eg. mileage charge.
Smoking.
No smoking is allowed in the camper van. Smoke odors in returned vehicle will result in additional fees $500.
Pets.
Pets are allowed only if pre-prooved by L&P Camper Van. Pets are not allowed on seats or beds. Excessive pet hair found in a camper van shall result in additional cleaning charge $150.
Late pick up and return.
Renter agrees to pick up and return the van no later than as mutually agreed with L&P Camper Van. A fee of $200 will be charged if picked up or returned later than on agreed time.
Mileage allowance.
The mileage of 200km / day is included in the rental price. If the allowance is exceeded the additional mileage will be charged out at $0.5/km + taxes.
Insurance. L&P Camper Van provides commercial insurance to all the rentals. The insurance is madatory. Third Party Liability, Comprehensive and Collision Insurance is provided during the rental. Third Party Liability: up to $5000 000, Comprehensive and Collision included, Deductable: Basic $1000, Premium $300. Renter is responsible for having their own Travel (Health) Insurance.
Fuel Policy.
The renter is responsible for fueling up the rental van with the correct type of fuel - DIESEL for Sprinter vans and REGULAR for Pilot. If the Renter fills the van with the wrong type of fuel, renter is fully responsible for damages that occur as a result. The renter must top-up the tank before the return. If renter returns van having not filled or topped-up the tank, L&P Camper Van will fill up the tank and provide the renter with the fuel receipt to be paid.
Tolls, Fines, Expenses, Costs and Administrative Fees.
Renter agrees to report to the L&P Camper Van and pay for all tolls and tickets (including for parking and moving or stationary traffic violations) incurred during the rental period. Renter agrees to pay or reimburse /&P Camper Van for all fines, penalties, interest, and court costs for parking, traffic, toll and other violations, including storage liens and charges incurred as a result of the rental.
Waiver of liability.
Renter is responsible for all personal contents left in the van at all times. Any theft, loss or damage of any and all personal items are not the responsibility of the owner.
